Picture yourself when you were five.
In fact dig out a photo of little you at that time and tape it to your mirror.
How would you treat her, love her, feed her?
How would you nurture her if you were the mother of little you?
I bet you would protect her fiercely, while giving her space to spread her wings.
She'd get naps, healthy food, imagination time and adventures into the wild.
If playground bullies hurt her feelings, you'd hug her tears away and give her perspective.
From this day forward I want you to extend that same compassion to your adult self.

|| Trust the Timing of your Life ||

Now I am living in the world of full time work my little jar of money, creatively labeled Dream Home, is slowly growing. Being an obsessively organised type, I have started collecting.

As it is gearing up to be one of the hottest weeks of the year it seems only fitting to share some ideas for dream exterior spaces. There are three factors that are important to me, room to socialise, hundreds of fairy lights and growth! I want a space filled with colour and exotic smells & a space that is suitable for all weather, I am in wales after all.

So when I am up to knees in weeds, I will be imaging I am here, In my happy place.

|| An Adventurous life does not necessarily mean
climbing mountains, swimming with sharks, or jumping off cliffs.
It means risking yourself by leaving a little piece
of you behind in all those you meet along the way. ||

The past two months have been about re-addressing my balance. Finding my feet back in the world of full time work,  getting caught up in the excitement of Engagements and Weddings, and saving every little penny for my future first home. Pinterest has once again come to my aid for interior design inspiration and i'm now itching to grab a paint brush!

Amongst all this i'm still aiming to lead a creative life, catching picture moments, controlling my love for chocolate and finding my balance of everything in moderation.

How do you find your balance?

|| It's not Art unless you put your Soul into it. ||

Living in the state of 3 C's - Cozy, Creative & Curious, Wolftree Mag is the perfect companion for a Sunday morning read with a cappuccino & waffles.

Complied with stories, interviews, photography and wanderlust it is a travellers inspiration Bible.

While reading I was struck by how much some of the stories sounded like poetry and realised that one read was not enough. Armed with a pen and paper I went back through Volume 4. to gather all of the quotes that stood out the most. This post is dedicated to all those humble writers where ever they may be.

When I see the ocean or the mountains on my computer screen
and that seems like some other life.

It becomes harder and harder to define
where home is in this seemingly infinite,
expanding and complicated world of ours.

Looking out over endless peaks,
reluctance melted into courage, and a subtle
determination to know this place- this state of
being - settled into my heart even when my legs
threatened to give out on the descent.
                                        - Taryn Phaneuf

And these rhythms blend to create what
we call days, and days turn to weeks, and weeks to
years, and the sonnet of lives echoes unheard
within the souls of one-million travelers...

There are some things within us
that can only be seen and heard when expressed
through creativity.
Any photographs left behind
will just be a fading record
of an attempt to embrace life and live

|| Beauty captures the eye but personality captures the Heart ||

Getting back to my favourite workload; capturing life's amazing events. This year I have been asked to photograph the Wedding of two friends, every Wedding is special but when you are there in the moment witnessing two people who you have known for years having their dream wedding, it is such an amazing connection. With travelling wrapped up I have returned home in time to assist with the last preparations, such as this overdue Engagement shoot!

Spending a few hours in a Victorian park wandering around the historical features such as the Band stand and floral gardens, gave us loads of possibilities for photo set ups. Luckily the weather was sweet and their pup, Lola, was excited & extremely photogenic.

Congratulations Kayleigh & Will !
