Sea Gypsea Photography // Under Water Art

I have admired the work of Sea Gypsea for some time, so I couldn't wait to share these pictures with you.

I love the use of reflections that are mirrored in her images.  There is so much variation in each model/mermaid and so much serenity! I am always excited to see which fashion and jewellery collaborations are going to be created next. Pip you are awesome.

“The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who'll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration.

Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work.

All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you're sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction.

Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that's almost never the case.”

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet,
And whither then? I cannot say.

Surf // Skate // Adventure

This week we have some time off for the strawberry plants to grow some fruit. So far with two days of freedom we have bought a longboard to practise some undiscovered skate skills, eaten some excellent burgers & spent the days at the beach photographing the surf. To come? Theme parks, beach & more beach. Ahhhh.
