|| Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience. ||
 - Ralph W Emerson

While awaiting the fresh powder to reach the mountains, days off have been spent exploring some local trails around Banff. After a late Pancake Day breakfast, a group of us set off to Johnston Canyon to discover for ourselves the frozen falls. The drive down didn't pass without excitement as we rounded a corner and witnessed a family of Moose crossing the road. Being an animal that is rarely seen around town and quite allusive we were super excited, until we realised our cameras were trapped in the boot of the car...
After a quick dash to the back we were able to catch some blurry proof before the Moose quickly shied away into the forest.

Thanks to the trusted information on the trail conditions from Parks Canada, the miracle invention of a simple snow cleat strapped to my boots saved me hours of tense walking across icy paths. Other hikers were not so fortunate! Good luck to those select few in Ugg Boots.

The walkway led us through a canyon, closely shadowing the partially iced over river, over a bridge, through a small cave until finally arriving at the base of the falls. Once we had gotten our photography fill, we began to head home, stopping at Mt Norquay to check out the views over Banff. We Sat back on little red chairs as the sun attempted to shine through the thick clouds, taking in the view to our back garden.

|| When was the last time you did something for the first time? ||

Photography has a way of freezing time. Making every week count is so important to me now that spring is on its way. I want to document every little thing. My time off this week was spent roasting marshmallows, skating and playing in castles made of ice.

The fresh snowfall at the Lake Louise ski resort, made riding one incredibly fun workout. We stepped off the chairlift at The Top Of The World & were lucky enough to catch the amazing views of the mountains in the distance just before the snow clouds rolled in. The long runs across the terrain led us through trees & powder before we finally collapsed at the base. Back at the Fairmont hotel I quickly grabbed my camera to catch the sunset around the frozen lake. Slightly surreal moment standing on it, especially with all the mild weather we have had here in Alberta! A much bigger difference to what it was like back in October

Having been a follower of Oracle Fox on Instagram for some time now, her style evolution of forecasting trends forever leave me inspired. Having a website with a bit of everything from street style, to editorial photography, outfit inspirations to illustrations, it takes some skill not to whip out the credit card and demand a whole new wardrobe. Currently after almost a year and a half of travelling I am in desperate need for some new threads. However with just a few months to go until I am back in the UK I will have to wait & dream instead.

Another Feather
Designer & Creator of beautiful things
Hannah Ferrara

|| "Jewelry for the Non-Jewelry Wearer" ||

To me, Another Feather resembles a fresh look at the way women wear jewelry; The collections have a clean design, easy to wear, hand made approach. Hannah's jewelry creations are evolved through traditional metal smithing techniques, the designs flow as a single piece or as part of a collection. I am like a magpie when it comes to accessories. I collect beautiful treasures, then fail to wear them. To me these treasures appeal to all aspects of a practical lifestyle and can be worn day or night. I am currently containing my total envy of her immaculate design space & I cant wait to see what her hands create next.
